Aalto University Metsähovi Radio Observatory has aquired an all-sky camera to be used in monitoring weather conditions.
Aalto University Metsähovi Radio Observatory has aquired an all-sky camera to be used in monitoring weather conditions. The new camera will assist astronomers observing with the Metsähovi telecsope to quickly form an awareness of the local cloudiness conditions. The camera is now awaiting installation outside.
A sample image is available. The dome of the 13,7-meter radio telescope is visible on the top of the image.
